Our Doggy Daycare Dens
Each one of our doggy dens has a 25 square feet indoor enclosure with a sheltered 40 square feet outdoor patio for your dog’s use only. Your dog will not be facing another dog from their den to help reduce their anxiety or aggression and to allow for a calm, safe environment.
Outside your dog can see its neighbours and run up and down the fence just like at home! However, as a result of COVID-19 and to ensure your dog’s safety, the dogs will be practicing physical distancing, so there will be an empty exterior run on either side of the one that your dog is using. All accommodations will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized with additional cleaning as required.
Dog Daycare Activities
All exercise or playing will be between your dog and one of our caregivers — not other dogs. It has always been our practice to work with the dogs on a one on one basis. Therefore, guests from different families are not mixed or socialized. This was the case prior to COVID-19 and continues today.
Your dog’s comfort is our top priority so our caregivers provide regular health checks for your pet. These include monitoring:
- Level of exercise
- Urine and bowel movements
- Anxious behaviours
If we notice that they are not using the outdoor runs, then we will take them for a short walk to ensure they have an opportunity to relieve themselves. A full 20-minute walk or playtime can be added to the dog daycare fee for an additional $10 per session. We always take into account any special needs your dog may have and adjust our routines accordingly. This includes providing extra cuddles or exercise for those dogs that may be feeling anxious.
If your pet requires additional exercise or attention please let us know when you make your booking so we can ensure they get the best care possible. For a full list of additional dog sitting services available for dogs please visit our Dog Boarding page.
Frequently Asked Questions
If you have a question about our dog daycare services that we haven’t answered on this page, don’t hesitate to give us a call!
Do I need to submit any paperwork for my dog to be at doggy daycare?
Yes, we require all clients to complete a boarding agreement and provide proof of current vaccinations. We do want to note that dogs do not need to be spayed or neutered to come to our facility — they will not come into contact with other dogs.
For more information about proof of vaccinations, visit our policy page.
What do I need to bring with my dog?
Each client needs to bring proof of vaccinations, their own dog food (if a meal is required), and any medications. Please label all items and include feeding and medication instructions.
Can I bring my dogs favourite toys, blanket, or bedding?
Due to COVID-19 we are only accepting clients’ food, medications, and specialty items such as thunder coats or senior mobility devices. We provide a raised Koranda bed for each guest which provides support for joints and can be completely sanitized. Once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, then we would again accept machine washable blankets, beds or toys from home.
