Sarah joined the Escarpment Pet Retreat team in 2011. Originally from South Africa, it is there that she developed her love of animals while working at her grandmother’s kennel. She is a certified Animal Care Attendant and graduated from Sheridan College in 2012. In South Africa Sarah volunteered at a local Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. Sarah has pursued additional animal courses including animal behavior, basic grooming and is certified in First Aid. Sarah’s top priority is ensuring the comfort and wellbeing of your furry family members during their stay with us. In her spare time she is found in walking trails with her Whippets Charlie and Sissy, or cuddling with her kittens Alfie and Ethel.
Yvonne is in her third year with EPR; joining us in 2015. She is very knowledgeable about caring for dogs and cats ensuring that they all have a safe and clean environment. Yvonne is certified in First Aid and is EPR’s Health & Safety representative. Although Yvonne loves every animal, it’s her own Sugar Glider, Wilfred and her English Bull Dog/Pug cross named Eddie that gains her attention outside of work! In her spare time she volunteers at the Lincoln County Humane Society.
Brittany is in her second year with EPR; joining us in 2016. She graduated from Durham College’s Veterinary Assistant program in 2013. Brittany is certified in First Aid and is currently working towards completing her Veterinary Practice Management Certificate. She also works part time at an animal clinic in Mississauga. In Brittany’s free time she can be found riding her horse Garret or playing with her Cockapoo puppy Sophie.
Hailey is a newcomer to the EPR team! She is a high school student and part time animal care attendant. Hailey’s long term goal is to become a veterinarian. She has a love of animals and enjoys walking, playing or feeding the guests at EPR. In her spare time, you will find Hailey caring for her own six pets or studying for school!
Jennie is in her third year with Escarpment Pet Retreat as a part time animal care attendant. She has always had a great interest in animals. In high school she is taking science courses with the goal of pursuing a career with animals. She is always eager to learn and enjoys playing with the dogs! Jennie can always be found smiling and enjoys the variety of dog breeds and cats that come to visit. Jennie also cares for her family dog Madison who is a Bernese Mountain Dog. In her spare time she can be found spending time with friends, playing sports or listening to music.
Maddi completed a high school co-op placement with Escarpment Pet Retreat in 2016 and continued as a part time care giver. While always eager to learn, she takes pride in ensuring our guests receive proper care and loves taking care of the animals. In her spare time Maddi can be found spending time with friends and caring for her own fur family. She has three dogs; Piper a German Shepherd, Lola a Golden Doodle and Ollie a Chinese Crested Powderpuff. Her fur family also includes Nyx, her cat, as well as chickens!
Megan is another of our part time animal care attendants. She is in her second year with Escarpment Pet Retreat and works part time during school and full time in the summer months. It was Megan’s love of animals that brought her to us! Megan ensures quality care of our guests and especially loves exercising the dogs! You will always find her laughing with a huge smile on her face! She enjoys getting to know all the dogs and cats that come to stay with us. In her free time, Megan is often out walking with her puggle Boomer, playing soccer or spending time with friends and family.
Mindy joined our team in 2008. Today you will find her as part of our reception team. She answers all your queries whether it be by telephone, email, or during in person tours. Mindy will put your mind at rest guiding you through the process of leaving your furry family member in our care. Mindy has a vast knowledge of animal behavior as well as much experience handling all types of dog breeds. In between clients you may find her snuggling a special little dog or out walking one of our large breed dogs. She holds an ECE certificate and enjoys learning about animal behavior. In her spare time she enjoys reading, and spending time with family.
Norhan began working for Escarpment Pet Retreat in 2016. She is a high school student who is a part time animal care giver. Norhan has always loved animals and that is what brought her to EPR. She is quick to learn and enjoys walking dogs out in the open farm land!
Paula is a part time animal care attendant. She is an university student studying Biology. Paula enjoys learning about animal and human physiology as well as the environment. When out of work Paula will be found spending time with friends, reading or caring for her cat “May”.
Rachel is a part time animal care attendant. She is an university student studying Animal Biology. Her long term career goal is to become a veterinarian. In her spare time you can find Rachel horseback riding, caring for her bunny “Cole” and spending time with friends.
Sarah began working full time for us in 2016. Originally from Nova Scotia, Sarah has a degree in biology from Acadia University. She moved to Ontario with the long term goal of attending the Ontario Veterinary College and become a veterinarian. Sarah ensures that our guests are happy, healthy and well cared for. In her spare time she loves to play with her dog Kelsey, read or spend time with friends.
Teddi joined the EPR team in 2016 as a full time care giver. She takes great care in ensuring that our guests are well looked after and exercised daily. Teddi loves all kinds of animals including dogs, cats and horses. She enjoys hiking, soccer, baseball and snowboarding. In her free time, Teddi can be found spending time with friends or walking her own dog Hazel who is a Boxer and Bull Mastiff mix.
Tiffany joined the EPR team in 2016 as a full time care giver. She has completed online courses for animal care. Tiffany has always been a big animal lover and grew up taking care of many animals. She always looks forward to guests’ arrivals whether it be a known regular guest or a new face needing an extra cuddle. At home, Tiffany has her own fur family to care for! There’s her cats Kiki, Britney and Chloe as well as her Chihuahua Prada and Golden Retriever Thor.
Victoria is one of our part time animal care attendants who works full time when out of school. She is in her second year with Escarpment Pet Retreat and enjoys experiencing all the different dog breeds that come to visit. Victoria is currently attending the University of Guelph and majoring in Animal Biology. Her long term goal is to attend the Ontario Veterinary College and become a veterinarian. In her free time Victoria is busy caring for her own fur family. She has Goober, a leopard gecko; Toothless, a Flemish giant rabbit; Cooper, a cockatiel; as well as three dogs: Mona an olde English bulldog, Mack, a bull mastiff, and Bentley the bulldog.
